Workout with Robocuz

The friendly robot from the neighborhood.

The idea for Robocuz was born during a closing party at the Grube in Vienna. The open space in front of the place offered ideas for new creations. That evening I could not think of anything else than a giant robot that would claim the space for itself.

After a short brainstorm round we went to the said square to shoot a dance workout video. We took into account the integration of the 3D object and designed the shots accordingly.

The 3D robot was added in post-production.

The 3D model was rigged and dance animations were added. Then it was inserted into the respective scenes. Through composing, the robot was more integrated into the environment.

The robot does a dance workout with Yunus Sezer and leaves anreiner speechless. The video went viral within a few days and generated a huge reach.

 

A few weeks after the video was realesed a request came from the creative director of Jason Derulo.
